Self-Care & Psychosocial Support
Tarangini promotes self-care and mental wellbeing through psychosocial counseling, trauma-informed care, and integrated security approaches — including a six-month Psychosocial Counseling Training for women working in communities.

About This Program
Tarangini promotes self-care and mental wellbeing through psychosocial counseling, trauma-informed care, and integrated security approaches. The Foundation also offers a six-month Psychosocial Counseling Training for women working in communities, aiming to develop skilled psychosocial counselors, strengthen access to quality psychosocial support, and promote women-centered perspectives in counseling practice.
What We Do
Our Impact
Tarangini has trained 162 psychosocial counselors through a six-month intensive training program, strengthening the availability of community-based psychosocial support. The program has increased community awareness on psychosocial wellbeing, contributing to a more supportive environment for seeking and providing psychosocial counseling.
It has also promoted self-care practices by helping individuals and communities understand the importance of mental wellbeing, emotional resilience, and self-care in their daily lives. By equipping women working in communities with practical counseling skills and women-centered approaches, the initiative has strengthened women’s leadership in psychosocial support.
Additionally, it has integrated trauma-informed and holistic approaches into community interventions, fostering safer, more compassionate, and supportive spaces for individuals experiencing psychosocial distress.
