About This Program

Tarangini Foundation is committed to advancing gender equality and strengthening women's leadership by challenging patriarchal systems, unequal power structures, and harmful social norms that restrict women's rights, autonomy, and participation in decision-making. Through feminist leadership development, advocacy, and movement-building, we empower women and girls to claim their rights, exercise their agency, and lead transformative change in their communities and beyond. We work to create an enabling environment where women are respected, heard, and represented in all spheres of life while engaging communities and institutions to dismantle discriminatory practices and promote gender justice. Our vision is to break the deeply rooted structures of patriarchy and build a society where women lead with dignity, equality, and collective power.

What We Do

Prevent and respond to GBV through survivor-centered and community-based approaches

Advocate for women's rights and gender-transformative policies and practices

Conduct awareness programs on gender equality, GBV, and harmful traditional practices

Facilitate dialogues that promote positive social norms and collective action

Run digital campaigns to challenge GBV and discriminatory social norms

Build the capacity of women, youth, and stakeholders through training and orientations

Strengthen collaboration with local governments, CSOs, police, lawyers, WHRDs, OCMCs, and safe houses

Influence policies and systems to strengthen the prevention and response to GBV

Empower women and girls to lead and participate in decision-making

Strengthen women's leadership skills through training, mentoring, and capacity-building

Support women and girls to advocate for their rights and influence policies and social change

Foster feminist leadership that challenges unequal power structures and promotes gender justice

Create platforms for women leaders to connect, learn, and collaborate

Empower adolescent girls and young women to become confident leaders and changemakers

Our Impact

Through our integrated approach to gender equality, women's leadership, and gender-based violence prevention, Tarangini Foundation is fostering safer, more inclusive, and gender-just communities where women and girls can exercise their rights, participate in decision-making, and lead change with confidence.

By strengthening the capacities of women, engaging communities, mobilizing youth, partnering with local governments and service providers, and advocating for policy and social transformation, we are challenging harmful gender norms, improving access to support systems for survivors, and building collective action to prevent violence and promote equality.

Our work contributes to stronger community leadership, increased awareness, enhanced institutional responsiveness, and sustainable progress toward a society free from discrimination and gender-based violence.
