Linking dots Together and Making the Difference

The pandemic had resulted heightened level of concern and massive public reaction as it hampered various aspects of peoples’ lives. Moreover, lockdown followed by social distancing and quarantine had added more pain and challenges for women. Violence against women had increased by many folds, justice became difficult if not impossible. Women working in informal sector were facing challenges to sustain their livelihood. Women working in entertainment sector, sex workers and community women from marginalized groups were particularly affected by this.
Tarangini Foundation with the support of OSF jointly initiated ‘Sahakarya’ with an aim of raising voices /issues of such women from the ground collectively to create better access to services, livelihood needs, justice and psychosocial needs and advocate to create sustainable support mechanism from the state along with to lay the foundation for transformatory building back better process.
