Our Work.
What We Do
Building a stronger Feminist Movement
Tarangini Foundation addresses the need for self-care for women’s rights activists by providing psychosocial counselling, trauma-informed care, and integrated security, as well as feminist capacity-building trainings and mentoring sessions to help young women understand and develop a feminist perspective, empowering them to break isolation, build solidarity, foster mutual learning and support, and increase the movement’s sustainability. In addition, it engages in feminist documentation, which is a way to make the experience of women human rights defenders visible by recognising its inherent value, as well as to create, build, and promote analysis of women human rights defenders, by documenting the stories of women human rights defenders in order to bring legitimacy and visibility to their work and contributions.
Self-Care for women and women human rights defenders
Tarangini addresses the need for self-care through approaches such as psychosocial counseling, trauma-informed care, and integrated security. We also provide six-month psychosocial counseling training targeting women working in the community with the goal of developing competent counselors and highlighting the significance of psychosocial counseling in individuals’ lives and incorporating women’s perspective in counseling.
Feminist Documentation in Recognizing and Empowering WHRDs
Feminist documentation is a way to make the experience of women human rights defenders visible by recognizing its inherent value and also to create, build and promote analysis of women human rights defenders who experience violations because of who they are and what they do.
Feminist Capacity Building with Mentoring
Tarangini Foundation is providing feminist capacity-building trainings and mentoring sessions to help young women understand and develop a feminist perspective, which will help them to break isolation, build solidarity, foster mutual learning and support, and enhance the sustainability of the movement. Through feminist mentoring and investing in the younger generations’ capacity and potential, strengthening their support infrastructure, and building strong, long-lasting inter-generational relationships of coaching and exchange, the goal is to create a resilient cohort of young women who can carry the women’s movement forward.
Right to Work
Tarangini foundation advocates for a just society in which women’s work are recognised, valued, and respected. We implement capacity building programs for the working women to build their skillsets, provide them a platform to share their stories, and foster an atmosphere where they feel empowered.
Our goal is to empower working women to raise their voices and bring attention to workplace issues through training and awarness raising programs.
